The Sigma Phi Epsilon Educational Foundation at George Mason University funds scholarships and leadership programs that develop the academic, leadership, citizenship, and personal potential of college undergraduate and graduate students. Thanks to the generosity of alumni, family, and friends, the Foundation continues to provide the necessary environments, education, experiences, scholarships, and loans.

George Mason ’83
Mark is a founding partner of Federal Business Group. He brings over 24 years of military service, including more than five years of Congressional expertise. As a career Army logistician he spent many years commanding Soldiers in combat and contingency operations worldwide. Take that tactical experience, add a year on a Senator’s staff and four years of Budget Liaison experience and you have the needed expertise to assist clients in product and program development within the Pentagon and on Capitol Hill.
George Mason ‘ 83
John is a seasoned government focused executive with more than 30 years of experience for both start-ups and established companies. John joined Carahsoft Technology Corporation in 2011 to provide a senior-level focal point for their cloud-based solutions. He has been an Internet pioneer in developing better acquisition practices and innovative tools to reduce the cost and improve the way the government procures goods and services, thereby saving the U.S. taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars. He has received an FCW Federal 100 Award in 2013 and the 2015 IES Sales Excellence award.
George Mason ‘ 82
Brandt Heatherington is a senior marketing director and strategist with a broad background in and passion for cyber security. Brandt brings cyber security and analytics experience from hardware and software perspectives to his current role as Marketing Director at Arxan Technologies, and IBM Security partner. Brandt has held senior positions at LexisNexis, i2, and IBM where he served a comprehensive set of international customers from private industry, government and law enforcement.
Zac is an experienced higher educational professional focused on the public safety of university communities. He has been driving force at the local and state level for recognition of higher education emergency management as a discipline. Zac joined George Mason University in 2011 to provide guidance and support to initiatives supporting the student experience. He has led fire safety, occupational health and safety, and emergency management operations for the Division of University Life since joining the university.
