Our Scholarships and Grants

Your generous financial support provides resources for undergraduate scholarships and leadership program that help build balanced men. Through the Foundation leadership scholarships and grants, our donors help offsets the expenses associated with the leadership programs that enable our young men to strengthen their character, build leadership and interpersonal skills, and learn to develop healthy, lifelong relationships that are essential to a successful and fulfilling life.

Balanced Man Scholarships

The Balanced Man Scholarship (BMS) is the Chapter’s prime recruiting tool. This scholarship is awarded to some of the best students coming to campus who exhibit academic excellence, demonstrate leadership skills and commit to their health and well-being. This set of scholarships will be used to attract qualified balanced men to the Chapter.

AVC Scholarships for Academic and Leadership Programs

The AVC Direct Scholarship was created to provide funds for academic and leadership programs to the members of the Chapter.

Over the years, funds were used to send members to the Ruck Leadership  Institute, Carlson Leadership Academy, and Grand Chapter Conclave. Funds were also used to support the Philip Cox Volunteer Institute, Life After College, chapter retreats, dean list recognition awards, Balanced Man Scholarship Banquet, and other Balanced Man Program events and initiatives.

Brian Plombon Scholarships for Outstanding Undergraduates

The Brian Plombon Scholarship was established to provide educational assistance to outstanding upcoming juniors and seniors of the Virginia Mu Chapter.  The purpose of this fund is to recognize scholars and balanced men who have distinguished themselves through accomplishments in the classroom, on campus, in the community, and the chapter.

Life After College

Life After College gives undergraduates the knowledge they need to translate their collegiate success into the professional world. During this two-day leadership event, undergraduates connect with career coaches, sharpen interview skills and interact with potential employers while exploring the career opportunities that await them after college. Sessions on personal finance, business etiquette and personal branding and values help brothers seamlessly transition from college to the workplace
